In the early 20th century, F. Besson was one of the most prominent instrument manufacturers in not just France but the whole world. Their trumpet design was very popular among American orchestral players, and form the basis of most modern trumpet designs. While smaller and ergonomically distinct from modern instruments, these old Brevete models are still excellent players and highly sought after.
This instrument previously belonged to Doc Severinsen, and includes a letter signed by Doc certifying its provenance.
