Dolnet is one of those great companies and horns that you may never have heard of. Made in France in the height of French production of saxophones, Dolnet was one of many companies producing high quality instruments and giving folx options besides Selmer Paris. This is the Bel-Air model, made in the mid 50's and features many of the trademark French style saxophone components. In a quick pass, you might not realize it isn't a Selmer. Featuring a flexible, albeit, present tone, this is a great horn for a lead alto player or someone who wants to capture the sound of many alto players after Bird. It's time to wake up to such a great sleeper horn.
