The primary objective in creating the Griego-Alessi line was to provide players with both a great mouthpiece as well as a great mouthpiece series. Each series (1, 3, 4, 5, and 7) currently has six models (A, B, C, D, E, and F) with identical cup diameters and rim shapes. The differences between the mouthpieces in each series are in the cup depths and throat dimensions.

Size Comparison:

Griego-Alessi 1A
This is a great piece for very demanding altissimo works. It has a more brilliant tone color, which can carry over any ensemble in any acoustic environment.

Griego-Alessi 1B
The B cup is a great piece for demanding playing that requires extended endurance to play not just excerpts, but long performances. This mouthpiece trends towards the upper register ensuring the last note on the performance is as good as the first.

Griego-Alessi 1C
This is Joseph Alessi's "work horse" mouthpiece. He plays the 1C for day-to-day playing. This configuration provides the carrying power necessary to sit on top of the low brass, as well as a warmth of sound and resonance in all registers.

Griego-Alessi 1D
The D cup is built for those that think the C is too shallow and the E is too deep.

Griego-Alessi 1E
The 1E is perfect for works that require a larger width of sound in all registers.

Griego-Alessi 1F
This is a great mouthpiece for large orchestral repertoire.

Griego-Alessi 3A
The 3A is a great choice for long and demanding solo works. The shallower cup allows for ease in the upper register and a more brilliant sound that easily projects over the orchestra or piano.

Griego-Alessi 3B
