From the 1925 "King" H.N White Saxophone catalogue:
The 'King' Saxello
The Most Perfect Soprano Saxophone in the World
Remember how the little B-Flat soprano saxophone twisted you all out of dignity and just about all out of breath?
Remember how the straight model cramped your right arm and thumb?
That's all over now since the development of this new, unique instrument, the "Saxello."
Easy to Hold
The ease with which the Saxello is handled - the position in which it is held, the firm grasp - the comfortable and restful position of the arms - the natural lay of the keys, are all positive improvements that eliminate the awkward and tiresome playing positions, and consequent difficult execution common to ordinary Soprano Saxophones. No straight to tire you. No stretching or cramping of arms and fingers to interfere with your playing. No awkward position to detract from your appearance.
Beautiful Tone Quality
The proper degree of resistance, "acoustically correct" proportions, give a richness to the tonal characteristics that cannot be found in any other type of Soprano Saxophone. The tone quality is rich and mellow - with the weirdness of the English Horn.
Stands Without Peg or Rack
An added feature of convenience for dance orchestra is the detachable stand shown in the circle above [found in the photo section] With this stand the Saxello can be placed anywhere and it will stand by itself - no peg or hook is necessary. This will be appreciated by saxophonists who use a soprano to double with and who have to make the change rapidly. The stand is easily removed when not needed and is carried in the case with the Saxello.
The Saxello can be played anywhere - as a solo instrument, in combination with other Saxophones, in band or at home. The size and design make it an excellent model for young folks to begin on.
No other Soprano saxophone combines all the advantages of the Saxello. Its attractive appearance, and many practical improved playing features have won for it instant favor.
