Lot Rosewood Albert System A Clarinet

This rosewood Albert System A clarinet was built by Thomas Isidor Lot, a late 19th century maker and the last of the Lot family of makers. Isidor's father, Thomas Guillaume, had married the sister of Jean-Francois Martin, another prominent woodwind maker based in La Couture. The Lot family had been active since the 1730's; Isidor was active between ca. 1860 and 1886, when he was succeeded by Thibouville-Coudevillain. Couesnon also used the name in the early 20th century.

The instrument is in restorable condition with all keys present.
