One of the most known trumpets ever made is the Martin Committee. Typically the name Miles Davis is attached to whatever conversation is being had about the horn. Committee's are known for their flexibility and beautiful sound.
This Martin Committee comes from the Leblanc-production era. It still features a hand-hammered bell and reverse lead-pipe. The feel and timbre of this horn confuses some of the most discerning ears with how comfortable most players are on it. Whether or not you're looking to sound like Miles, but you are looking for an excellent horn. This is it. Unless you only want an okay horn, then that's a whole 'nother thing.
