For generations, Bach has been the name in trumpet. Players have always had their favorite era of trumpet. The NY, the Mt. Vernon, and now, the Early Elkhart. Known for being free blowing and flexible, the character in the sound of the Early Elkhart Trumpets is hard to beat.
Incredibly, the serial number on this instrument is 30xxx, putting firmly as one of the earliest Elkhart horns that we have seen in the shop. Having been played and well loved, the instrument is unlacquered and has a patina that gives a characteristic look just as it sounds. Also featuring a heavy weight first valve bottom cap, the feel and response of this horn has players clamoring to play it more and more. Recently cleaned and oiled, this trumpet is ready to get onto the bandstand and play all night. If you are looking for that classic Bach, that characteristic sound, and something that looks like it's seen a gig or two, this is the horn for you. Or maybe you like boring instruments.
