Antique Carl Fischer "American Model" EEb Helicon in original raw brass finish, in playing condition. The helicon is the ancestor of the Sousaphone and has a smaller bell pointed slightly more upwards, and was commonly used in the late 19th and early to mid 20th centuries.
Pitched in Eb below bass clef, this instrument is lighter weight than CC and BBb instruments while also easily accessible to both tuba players and treble clef reading baritone and alto/tenor horn players.
Please see pictures of condition and finish. Instrument was restored and fully polished by previous owner. A light protective patina has naturally developed since it was last polished. There are numerous minor/cosmetic dents throughout as pictured.
Includes likely original raw brass mouthpiece. No case is included nor available.
