Used. The 10H is a very small bore horn with a classic early 20th century sound, ideal for playing 19th century solos, "hot jazz", dance band music, ragtime, and marches. It is named for famed trombone soloist Fredrick Innes, who moved to the US in the 1880's playing across the country over the following four decades.
The trill valve is a halfstep valve, to A. In addition to halfstep trills it also allows the trombone to be played in the key of A, or for the particularly intrepid, in Bb in A=415. In A this makes passages in sharp keys more comfortable and makes the low B to Bb trill not just possible but easy.
Includes original Conn case. Completely restored ca. 2013 by Robb Stewart.
From Conn Loyalist:
The 10H Small Bore Innes or "Trill Valve Model" was produced from at least 1912 until 1930. The "small bore" suggests the bore was probably around a #1½ (0.458").
What Conn said in 1924:
The "Trill Valve" model possesses a valve which, when operated, changes the pitch a half tone. This feature enables the performer to execute many intricate passages with ease and assurance.
