The Classical Series was designed with every player in mind. All of these pieces feature a 27 throat but vary in rim size, rim design, and cup design. Every one of these have been created through extensive play testing in studio and live settings and are optimized for richness in sound and efficiency in playability.

1.5C

Modeled after an extremely comfortable Bach Mt. Vernon 1 1/2C. This mouthpiece was designed to not “feel” quite as big. But it still is a good size piece. The rim is much more comfortable than most new big mouthpieces on the market today. It has a 27 hole and the back-bore is designed to give a full round dark sound. Even when pushed the sound quality stays the same. The idea was to have a mouthpiece that was very dark and round, and when pushed, had some brilliant qualities without being “edgy” or “nasal” in it’s nature. 1.5C: 0.6703 inner diameter measured at 0.030″    0.1440 throat    27 drill    1.0743 outside diameter

3C

This mouthpiece was modeled after an early Elkhart model Bach 3C. The rim is very comfortable for hours of playing. The hole size, and back-bore are the same as the 1 1/2. The playing and sound characteristics are very similar to the 1 1/2, but with a slightly smaller inner-diameter.

3C: 0.6657 inner diameter measured at 0.030″ 0.1440 throat 27 drill 1.0659 outside diameter

7.3C

This mouthpiece has a slightly flatter rim contour and is extremely comfortable. It was developed in my search for a good classical mouthpiece to use when I play symphony work. Quite a bit of my playing is done on a much smaller diameter with a different rim, so this mouthpiece facilitates that type of switch. It has a deep cup from the PATRICK 3C, but the rim inner diameter is closer to a 7. It also has the same back-bore and hole size as the 1 1/2 and the 3 so it retains similar characteristics.

7.3C 0.632″ OD 1.068″ 27 throat
