This is a very interesting older large bore straight trombone from Yamaha, believed to be made in collaboration with Ian Bousfield. It appears to be based on the 8H, with a 8.5" bell and 0.547" bore.
This horn would make an excellent alternative to the 8H or Bach 42 straight horns, or for any player looking for a flexible sound which can cover all the orchestral bases without the weight and bulk of a trigger.
